【OUTLINE】This is a workshop you can make Miyagi's local dishes of 'Zunda-mochi' and 'Suppoko.' You will be taught by Fukuhara-san, known as the local Mom. She speaks only in Japanese, but she tries to communicate with you using gestures. Zunda-mochi is a local sweet of rice cake covered in sweetened mashed green soybeans. It is popular with locals in Miyagi, and also throughout Japan. Suppoko is a vegetarian home cooking inherited from generation to generation in the Tohoku Region. She now has over three decades of experience cooking traditional Lebanese food for her family and friends. Cooking is one of Marie’s biggest passions and she is excited to share her culinary traditions with guests.
